Who we are
Aven Accounting & Advisory is a practice run by a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)), who is also its Information Officer under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Contact: admin@avenadvisory.co.za.
What we collect
Your name, email address, phone number and the information you choose to give us in forms and tools (for example your business type, turnover band and the services you need). If you use the SARS letter explainer, the letter text is processed to generate the explanation and is not stored; we only keep the letter type, deadline and urgency with your contact details.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and send you resources you asked for. If you subscribed, we also send occasional emails with practical tax and compliance tips. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run this website and respond to you: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Resend (email delivery), Telegram (internal notifications to us), Cal.com (bookings) and Anthropic (AI processing for the free tools, with identifying numbers removed first). Some of these providers process data outside South Africa under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become clients are deleted after 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as tax and professional rules require (generally at least five years).
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information or object to us processing it. Just email us. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
Security
The site uses HTTPS, bot protection and access-controlled systems. Only the practice owner can access submitted information.
